The history of our logo

I, was asked to start a Tower Hamlets Neighbourhood Watch Association in 2011. The meeting took place in 2011 at Bethnal Green Police station and I was asked whether I want to chair. I agreed.

In those times, the Neighbourhood Watch logo was the Meerkats. Since then the Neighbourhood Watch logo has changed and the Meerkats have been abandoned by them.

In 2011 I asked a child: “What do you like more, the Meerkats on coloured background or a black and yellow colour block logo?” And the answer was the Meerkats on coloured background.

We then installed the coloured Meerkat logo Neighbourhood Watch signs throughout the London Borough of Tower Hamlets.

Since I have split from Neighbourhood Watch and now prefer to brand as Crime Watch, I can still use the upper part of the former sign, for which we paid, and just use the Meerkats and the Look Out part as this works perfectly for Crime Watch.

above is our old logo as it was used in 2011 – 2014. We no longer use the web name as seen on the sign.
