Portals

Tower Hamlets Crime Watch uses a variety of portals.

When signing up for Alerts on the log in screen you will see Information providers. Click this and you will see all available providers. I recommend you don’t tick Neighbourhood Watch because there unknown people will see all your data.

  • ActionFraud Alerts
    • Sign up for Alerts directly from the platform. You can tick other providers too but not all are servicing Tower Hamlets from Neighbourhood Alert, like Council, Police.
  • Avast Anti-virus
  • Get Safe Online
  • Friends against Scams
    • is a platform by national trading standards. You can do courses on the site and also sign up for their newsletter

  • OWL
    • Met Police Tower Hamlets uses this platform. It’s not necessary to be on that platform to be in touch with police. Most messages from police are available widely via other platforms too. It is impossible to remove yourself from OWL. You must ask them to be removed from that platform using their contact form. It is however known that Tower Hamlets Police only use OWL to send out their newsletters. Registrants do not get verified at the point of registration and do not get a police vetting unless becoming Community Coordinator for the whole borough. Local Coordinators’ – not vetted – details will be seen by others within the vicinity.

I don’t prefer people according to which platform they use. I provide my huge experience in community safety to all who are genuinely interested in their life being safe, secure and within the law.
